HOPE, Helen Margaret - June 18, 1911 - March 9, 2014 Helen, died at age 102, on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Suncoast Hospice Care Centre, South Pinellas, St. Petersburg, Florida. Born in Toronto, Ontario, she first visited St. Petersburg, Florida with her parents in 1921. After attending Moulton College, Toronto and Ontario Ladies College in Whitby. Helen worked in her father's business, Deer Park Livery, in Toronto. She continued to visit St. Petersburg during the 1930s where she would meet her future husband Harry Parker Hope. They later married in Toronto on August 6, 1941 and would live in St. Petersburg for the entirety of their 67 year marriage until Harry's death in 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Margaret Dundas, her son Robert Hope and her sister Reta Gray. She is survived by her son Richard Hope; nieces and nephews, Margaret (Bill) Cochrane, John (Dorothy) Gray, Richard (Myrna) Whitner, Sally Whitner, Mary (Robert) Smoak, Sally (James) Bostick and special caregiver Barbara Jokiel. A service will be held in the chapel of the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Avenue West (2 stoplights west of Yonge Street), Toronto, ON, Sunday, March 23, at 7 p.m., with visiting 1 hour prior. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
