MORAN, James Joseph - 1934 - 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Joseph (Jim) Moran on January 21, 2013. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. Jim showed great courage and was uncomplaining during his lengthy illness of asbestosis. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue, of 52 years of marriage, and much loved and cherished daughters Lisa and Wendy and son-in-law Mario Bonanno. He leaves behind grandchildren Michael, Marie and Emily who gave him great happiness and made him very proud. Siblings include sister Margaret (Doug), brother Bernard, brother Edward (Mel), sister Cecilia (Wally) and sister-in-law Joan. Jim was predeceased by parents Joe and Esther, brother Frank of England and brother John of Perth, Ontario. He is survived by nieces and nephews both here and in England. He will also be remembered by loving cousins in England. Jim was born in Liverpool, England, in 1934. He immigrated to Canada in 1958 and immediately fell in love with his new country. Although England would always be near to his heart, he embraced Canada's wide open spaces, lakes and rivers. Jim was the quintessential outdoorsman - never happier than with a fishing rod in his hand or working in the woods. Our family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. L. Mavrogiannis and his team from Toronto Grace Hospice. Their kindness will never be forgotten. Thanks also to the staff of CCAC and Pro-Resp. Visitation will be held between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26th; immediately followed by the funeral service. Both will be held at The Church of Christ the King (Anglican), 475 Rathburn Road. If wished, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church of Christ The King, The Nature Conservancy of Canada or to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Turner & Porter 'Butler' Chapel. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca
