James "Keith" McCormack

JAMES 'KEITH' McCORMACK Died after a valiant struggle with cancer on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Predeceased by loving wife Doris. Father of Eric (Janet), Ellen (Jeff) and Bryan (Lesley). Grandpa to Finnigan McCormack and Oliver Clark and several grandpets. Special friend to Betty Jarman. Kind uncle to Janet File (Jim), John Matheson (Jennifer) and Jim Matheson (Bruce). Keith grew up in East Toronto as the son of a popular family physician, Dr. Oliver McCormack. He befriended many east-enders over the years through elementary and high school, many of whom ended up raising their own families in Bridlewood just as Keith and Doris did. Keith was a financial analyst for Shell Oil and, through some good luck and timing, managed to retire early. His final days were an example of strength, dignity and integrity. He was a kind, respectful man who will be greatly missed. We thank the great people of Sunnybrook Hospital ... especially Gerry. The family will receive friends at the OGDEN FUNERAL HOME, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A complete funeral service will be held in the Ogden Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
