JOHN CAMERON (FRED) EATON, Q.C. Unexpectedly, on Monday October 15, 2012 at his home in Toronto, at the age of 83. Loving father to David (Lindsay), Douglas, Catherine Butler (Peter), and Bruce. Adored Grandpa to Dylan, Cody, Paige, Kirk, Andrew, Sarah, Thomas, Isabella and Cameron. Cherished companion to Barbara Bartlett and a lifelong friend with his former wife Shirley. John "Fred" was a "Life Member" of Islington Golf Club where he spent so much of his time with his pals golfing, playing cards and dishing out one -liners. Fred aka "Hodak" was also a member of Georgian Peaks Ski Club and never missed a weekend in almost 50 years. There wasn't a card game, craps table or football pool that he didn't like. Some of his favorite times were going to Old-Las-Vegas with his many pals. "Fred" will be missed, he was truly one of a kind, a man that marched to the beat of his own drummer. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter 'Butler' Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Toronto (between Islington and Kipling Aves), on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Islington United Church, 25 Burnhamthorpe Rd. (just north of Dundas St. W.) on Thursday October 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be made through donations to a charity of your choice.
