SUTMAN, Jonathan (Jon) Warren - September 26, 1949 - September 3, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jon on Monday, September 3, 2012, an amazing man, after his short battle with cancer, at home in Wasaga Beach with his loving family by his side. Jon, loving husband and soul mate to Joanne (Spicer) for 42 years, who will miss his humourous and gentle ways. Loving father to Jennifer (Sutman-Murdoch) (Bill), Jodie (Sutman-Vargas) (Xavier), Jackie (Sutman), Shayla (Allen) and Cassandra (Ryder). Cherished and adored by his grandchildren Ian and Nathan (Murdoch) and Alexander (Vargas), who gave him great joy and happiness. Loving brother to David (Sutman), Peter (Sutman), Barbara (Sutman), Brenda (Zimmerman) and Stephen (Sutman). Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his faithful dog Sullivan. Predeceased by parents Norman and Kathleen Sutman. Recently retired, Jon was a respected and dedicated Police Officer of 35 years with Peel Regional Police Force. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and homecare nursing staff for the wonderful care given to him. A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Paul Bailey whose daily spiritual guidance provided comfort for Jon and continues to provide support and guidance for the family. Our appreciation to the many neighbours and close friends for their support. Services will be on Saturday, September 8th, 2012, with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m., celebration service at 1:00 p.m. and reception to follow.
