Son of Armindo and Maria Adelaide Fernandes; brother of Arminda Lopes (Manuel), Gina Fernandes (Christian Vardin), Victor Fernandes, Nelson Fernandes (Tammy), Christina Fernandes (Dave Landry); uncle to many nieces and nephews.
