BURGESS, Julian (Jim) It is with great sadness we announce his passing after a courageous struggle on Thursday, February 7, 2008 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary. Loving father of Peter, Julianne (Hugh Tye), Barbara (John Morris) and Frances. Dear grandfather of Maddie, Mary, Jake and Robbie. Predeceased by his brothers Frank, Gene and survived by his sisters Frances and Marion. 'Smokey' enjoyed his long walks, dancing at the Westway and Anglesy social clubs, and watching the Blue Jays and Aaron Hill play. He will be greatly missed by all. A special thank you to all the staff at Kipling Acres, the Baker Centre and Lakeshore Lodge for their kind and wonderful care. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, on Monday and Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 1 p.m. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society - Research, Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
