KEDDY, Julius M. - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Julius Miklos Keddy on September 28, 2013 following a brave battle with leukemia at the age of 77. Survived by his loving wife Piroska Keddy (nee Nagy), her son Victor (Jennifer) and by loving daughters Cynthia Wujek (John) and Andrea Walczyszyn (Gen), brother of Tibor Kovacsovics (Ingrid) and uncle to 7 nephews, 1 niece in Austria, by grandchildren Kaitlyn, Viktor Jr., Keifer and Sophie. Julius began university in Sopron, Hungary. After the 1956 Revolution he immigrated to Canada. He graduated from the University of Toronto as a Civil Engineer. Retired from the City of Toronto Public Works department after 33 years. He also served as a Director of the United Hungarian Fund. The family extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Peter Forbath and to Dr. Richard Wells and the nursing team at Sunnybrook Palliative Care Unit and Transfusion Clinic. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 432 Sheppard Ave. E., Toronto on Thursday, October 10, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the United Hungarian Fund, 465 Yonge St., P.O. Box 73043, Wood Street Post Office, Toronto, ON M4Y 2W5 (by mail) are appreciated.
