Lawrence Elion Obituary

LAWRENCE ELION 1917 - 2011 Lawrence Elion, beloved husband of Isabel (Betty) of Calgary, AB passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the age of 93 years. Lawrence was born in Brentford, Chiswick, England. He served in the Signal Corps of the British Army during WWII. Lawrence had a passion for music (piano) and the theatre, was a member of ACTRA and won numerous awards for 'Best Actor'. Besides his loving wife Betty, Lawrence is survived by his daughter Margaret, son and daughter-in-law Derek and Gwen, and grandchildren Colin Grant, Cameron Symon and Nicole Victoria. In accordance with Lawrence's wishes, no formal service will be held. I was lucky enough to work with Lawrence at Lunchbox Theatre and at Theatre Calgary, where he played the Piano Master in AMADEUS. A very talented and funny man.
