ANASTASI, Leslie Anne (nee Caines) - May 1, 1958 - September 29, 2012 Beloved wife of Paul for 33 years, loving and devoted mother to Jonathon, Jordan, and Jessica passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital Saturday, September 29, 2012 following a brave and courageous near six year journey with bladder cancer. Throughout this journey Leslie continued to be an example of hope to everyone she interacted with, always smiling even through some tears, always continuing to pray for and help others, remaining faithful and thankful for the prayers of so many. Leslie, in her 55th year, daughter of Anne and Bill Caines, sister to Doug (Barb), Lorie and Jennifer (Michael Heaney), aunt to Megan, Harrison and Logan will be sadly missed. Daughter-in-law of Dominic and Rita Anastasi, sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews of the Anastasi family. Dear friend to Sheila and Dave Paradi and family as well as Tara Richardson- Patterson with many thanks for their ongoing support. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Short, Dr. Myers, Dr. Besik and the many nurses and staff of Credit Valley Hospital who took care of Leslie these past six years, including St. Elizabeth Homecare. Visitation will take place at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 295 Queen St. South, Streetsville, Friday, October 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will be Saturday, October 6th at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wellspring Halton- Peel (wellspring.ca).
