LUIGI DOLENTE On Sunday, January 27, 2013, the Dolente family endured a tremendous loss. Luigi Dolente passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 92. Luigi was born in Morro d'Oro, Abruzzo and immigrated to Canada in 1950. He settled in Toronto and together with his beautiful wife Maria of 54 years, raised a family of three children: Addie, Perry and MaryLou. Luigi was a hardworking, gregarious, courageous and strong willed man. He was a loving father- in-law to Gerry, Cathy and Louie. Luigi was also a proud grandfather to: Michael-Louis, Zachary, Luke, Lia, Lauren, Athina, Luciana, Michaela and Stefan. For them, his story will serve as a source of strength and inspiration as they strive to live up to their greatest potential and achieve their dreams. Luigi made the most of his opportunities to achieve great success in the construction, contracting and real estate development industries. Always appreciating the gift of life, he balanced commerce with living life to the fullest, spending summers at his home on the Adriatic Sea in Roseto degli Abruzzi and winters in Singer Island, Florida. Friends will be received at Fratelli Vescio Funeral Homes, 8101 Weston Rd., on Tuesday, January 29th between the hours of 2 and 9 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated at Saint Clare of Assisi Parish, 150 Saint Francis Avenue, Woodbridge on Wednesday, January 30th at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Dialysis Unit at Sunnybrook Hospital.
