TAYLOR, Marjorie Louise (nee Gregory) - Died peacefully December 19, 2012 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late John David MCConnell Taylor and loving Mother of David (Maureen) and daughter Maureen, Grandmother of Allan (Krysta), Greg (Tomiko), Susan (Dado), Brianna (Justin) and Alexandra, Great-Grandmother of David, Lauren, Kate, Asher and Caleb. In England, Marjorie is fondly remembered by her family members, and her lifelong friend Joyce Marshall. Born in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, Marjorie served as a radar operator in the WAAF during WWII. A war bride, Marjorie arrived in Halifax and the family moved to Toronto in 1947. Her love of books and curiosity about the world extended through her work with the Scarborough Public Library. Prior to her retirement, she was the Manager of the Taylor Library. The celebration of Marjorie's life will take place at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, where she was a parishioner for 65 years, 1512 Kingston Road (near Warden). Visitation will Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Interment at St. John's Norway Cemetery on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider St. Nicholas Anglican Church or a charity of your choice.
