MAUD VALERIE FULLER December 9, 1933 - January 17, 2013 With great sadness, our family announces the unexpected passing of Maud Valerie Fuller. Maud passed away peacefully on January 17, 2013 after suffering a stroke on December 15, 2012, one week after celebrating her 79th birthday. She will be truly missed and lovingly remembered by her four Godchildren, for whom she became "Mother", Marc Nelson, Dr. Celia Nelson, Jeremy Nelson and Rooney Nelson and their families, as well as her numerous friends and colleagues in Toronto and Jamaica. Maud taught special needs children and worked with the Toronto District School Board and at OISE, University of Toronto for many years until her retirement. She was also co- founder and former President of the UWI Alumni Association (Toronto Chapter). The family will receive friends on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the MURRAY E. NEWBIGGING FUNERAL HOME, 733 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Toronto. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Clement's Church, 70 St. Clement's Ave., Toronto and will be preceded by a viewing from 1:00-2:00 p.m. She will complete her transition journey home with a service at the University Chapel, Mona and interment in Jamaica. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UWI Alumni Association (Toronto Chapter) c/o D. Hutchinson, 211 Jefferson Forest Dr., Richmond Hill, Ontario L4E 4K2.
