MAUREEN PENNO Born May 5, 1928 Passed away peacefully at North York General Hospital on Sunday, April 21, 2013. Maureen Penno beloved daughter of the late Elsie Hamer and Lawrence Lanyon Penno. Maureen was a well respected Kindergarten and Grade School teacher at Lord Dufferin, Sprucecourt, William Burgess and Frankland Schools in Toronto. A resident of Leisureworld on O'Connor Drive and a very longtime home owner on Carlton Street in Cabbagetown, where she could be frequently seen by friends and neighbours walking her dog Molly. She was a past president of the Don Vale Property Owners Group and a member of the Don Vale Cabbagetown Residents Association. Service and Reception will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church located at 188 Carlton Street beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to be sent to a Dog Shelter or a charity of your choice. At a later date, Maureen's Ashes will be placed privately at St. James Cemetery on Parliament Street in Toronto.
