BETTE MAXINE MORGANTE, U.E. (nee RYDER) Of Toronto, passed away the morning of June 28, 2013 in the 85th year of an active life after a courageous battle with cancer. Bette was born in Kingston, Ontario, daughter of Joseph F. Ryder and Muriel Purdy. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Louis Morgante, her sons Paul and Brian, her daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Peter and adored grandchildren, Caitlin and Luca. A longstanding member of local Anglican Churches: St. James, Orillia; St. John's, York Mills; and All Saints, Kingsway, she was vibrant, fiercely loyal, deeply loving and lived life energetically and engaged to the very end. She will be missed each and every day. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston, Ontario, with Reverend Blair Peever officiating.
