MICHAEL MALOWANY Mychajlo Malowanyj Passed away peacefully at the age of 91. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Apolonia, who went by Paula (nee Glib). He will be sadly missed by his immediate family: John (Jay), Anne (Ron), Joe (Lis). He will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren Katie, Michael, Kristine, Mihailo, Aleksander, and Julia. He is predeceased by most all of his brothers and sisters back in the Ukraine with whom he had always kept in touch. He was born on October 9, 1921, near Ternopil, Ukraine, the eldest of six children. After surviving a tough upbringing, he was forced to relocate to Germany during WWII. The devastation of war was offset by the opportunity to learn many new skills. He met and married Paula and moved to Canada in 1950. He worked for 37 years at General Motors, which was called Frigidaire when he started. He always worked hard and was forever grateful for the opportunity to do so. His Local 303 acquaintances were a big part of his life right to the end. A big thank you to all of the people at St. Peter and Paul Residence who helped him over the last few years. Special thanks to Dr. Eid and Dr. Brodie for their endless patience and attentive care.
