Dearest Cathy and Robert,
It was only today, a beautiful sunny day, that I found out about Mike's passing. But through my tears you painted a picture of not a sad event, but a celebration of life. How suiting, then, that this warm spring day delivered the news of a man who lived his life with the same beauty and warmth. My life, along with many others, has been augmented because of all that he shared with me. For that I will be forever grateful.

With much love,

Cathy and Robert, our deepest sympathies on the passing of Coach Carman. He has left a wonderful legacy for others to follow, with his dedication to baseball and all the young men who were under his care, his love for his family and his kindness as a friend. Carman will truly be missed but never forgotten. It was a pleasure and an honour to have known him.

Damn Robert what can I say. If I had have known yesterday I would have said something at the game. Sorry to hear your loss, hope you keep strong. Mike was a good honest guy and always loved to watch you play baseball, something you probably already know. I'm sure Mike's somewhere watching you play the game you love, enjoying it surely as much as you are. I never expected something like this to happen and I'm sorry it turned out this way. My condolences go out to the Carmen family, you truly lost a good man.

See you on the baseball diamond.
