MILDRED JOY QUINCY SELLERS (nee LEWIS) Peacefully, in her 98th year, at home, in the arms of the Lord and surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Predeceased by her husband Everett Gordon, parents Rev. Arthur John Lewis and Eva May Thomlinson, sisters Margaret Whyte and Marie Goddard, brothers Bob, Chrys, Hugh and Malcolm Lewis. Lovingly remembered by her children, Joy, Gordon (Cheryl), Margaret (Jerry), Alexandra (Nicholas) and Donna (Robert), grandchildren April (Chris), Eric, Everett, Jessica, Andrew, Michael (Sarah), step-grandchildren Chris (Chantal) and Emily, great-grandchildren Alexis and James, her brother Dr. Ken Lewis of Midland, ON, sister- in-law Mrs. Frankie Bancroft of Winnipeg, MB and many nieces and nephews. Mildred was born in Sovereign, Saskatchewan on June 25th (or 27th), 1915. She attended Moose Jaw Technical School and Saskatoon Normal School (Teacher's College). Mildred had a great and indomitable spirit. She had a tremendous capacity to enjoy life and seize each precious moment. She overcame her many trials with strength, determination and grace. She was universally admired for her feistiness and wit, balanced sweetly by her great capacity for love. Her love and support for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was immense and bottomless. Deepest appreciation to Rev. Dr. Connie Den Bok and the parishioners of Alderwood United Church. Visitation on Sunday, February 24, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Homes Ltd. "Wignall Chapel", 62 Long Branch Ave., Etobicoke. Service will be held at Alderwood United Church, 44 Delma Drive, Etobicoke on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. Visitation at the Church prior to the service at 10 a.m. Reception follows. Interment following at Alliston Union Cemetery.
