KOYAMA, Noboru (Nobby) - January 20, 1925 - December 11, 2012 After several months of illness, Nobby passed away peacefully, with his family at his bedside. Left behind to mourn are Eileen (Moritsugu), his wife of 60 years; daughters Anne (Scott Mackenzie), Helen (the late Ian Nishio), Kathy and Eileen (Jr.) and sons Edward (Sue Kenny) and Kim; grandsons Robin, Corey and Daniel Nishio, Sean and Kevin Fukumura, Benjamin Koyama and granddaughter Claire Koyama. Nobby's parents were the late Shikazo and Ritsu Koyama; he was also predeceased by his brother Jack (Fusaye Onishi) and is survived by his sister Aki (the late John Yahiro), brothers Jimmy (the late Hisako Yahiro) and Toru of Tokyo, Japan. He was also blessed with many sisters-in- law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. According to Nobby's wishes, there will be no funeral. Visitations will be held on Friday, December 14th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough (Warden and Sheppard Aves., 416-773-0933). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Nobby's name to the Veterans' Comfort Fund at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, 2075 Bayview Ave., Suite KGE 39A, Toronto, ON M4N 3M5. The family is indebted to Dr. Deering and the nursing staff at Sunnybrook's K-Wing for their compassionate care and to Dr. S. Karanicolas and his team at St. Joseph's Health Centre and at the Satellite Renal Clinic for 14+ years of exceptional care and friendship.
