PETER STRACHAN JARVIS September 11, 1932 - February 22, 2013 Peter died peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday, February 22, 2013 in his 81st year. Peter will be sorely missed by his loving spouse Joan (Weatherston) partner in life for over 56 years. Cherished father of Robert and his partner Elizabeth (Natale), and granddaughters Kathleen and Olivia; Richard and his wife Sheila (Finlay) and granddaughter Emily; Nancy and her husband Kirk Summers and grandchildren Alexander and Jamie; David and grandson Ethan; Wendy and her husband David Clark and grandchildren Joshua, Hannah, Mollie and Sophie. Peter lived his life with integrity, discipline, grace and kindness. He was entirely devoted to his family and was happiest when they were all together. Peter was passionate about many things including woodworking and old cars. He enjoyed travelling and hiking the world with his dear Joan. Peter was a dedicated and respected colleague in his field of work, most notably serving with the Owen Sound PUC and for almost 25 years, with International Water Supply in Barrie. Despite his failing health, Peter never lost his gentle manner and sense of humour. He found constant comfort in his family, friends and faith. Peter will be forever cherished and fondly remembered. Friends may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME (445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie) on Friday from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Peter's life will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 47 Owen Street, Barrie on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11 o'clock a.m. The Rev.
