THIBERT, Raymond - With deep regret and sadness we mourn the sudden passing of Raymond Gerard Thibert of Little Britain on Saturday, January 26, 2013 in his 81st year at the Lakeridge Oshawa Hospital. Raymond is lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret Lousie of 60 years; his son Richard and wife Dian and grandchildren Danielle and Alexandra; his son Todd and wife Nancy and grandchildren Jesse and Tara; his daughter Cheryl and fiancé Hans and grandchild Dylan. Raymond was predeceased by his parents Narcisse Thibert of Lacolle, Quebec and Souphranie Duquette of Tilbury, Ontario. He was one of eight brothers and seven sisters and was born and raised on 120 acre farm in Tilbury, Ontario. With his wife and family by his side he enjoyed a fulfilling career as the Treasurer of Betz Cut Stone in Toronto, up until his golden years in which he spent his time gardening, fishing, playing golf and yearly trips to Florida. In his later years Raymond struggled with a multitude of health issues which left him in unbearable pain, through which he persevered with great strength, courage and a feisty humorous attitude. Visitation will be at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Thursday, January 31st from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m., then we will proceed to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 40 Russell Street East, Lindsay, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lindsay.
