REGINA FOLAN (nee BROWNE) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our very much loved Regina (Gean) Folan, late of Galway, Ireland, on December 11, 2012. Beloved wife and best friend of Joe. She will be greatly missed and always loved by her children, Lorna, Robert, Joanne (Chris), Liam (Jelila). Gean's smile and laughter will forever be cherished by her grandson Mathieu and granddaughter Caitlin who were the love of her life. She leaves behind her loving family Maura (Ernest), Kathleen (Desmond), Billy (Mary), Martina (Billy), Kevin (Teresa), Evelyn (George), Michael (Margaret), Martin, Gerard (Marian), Anne (Benny), Pauline (Hakan). She will be missed and loved by her many nieces and nephews and her good friends, John and Nuala O'Toole. Her friends at the Square One Older Adult Centre, Christian Women's Group, Streetsville and the Ireland Supporters Club will miss her friendly smile and her sweet personality. Thanks to our wonderful neighbours who comforted us through this journey. The family would like to thank the staff at Princess Margaret Hospital, Palliative Care at Credit Valley Hospital and the wonderful staff at Ian Anderson House who provided such wonderful comfort and care in Gean's last days of her life. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at Glen Oaks Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville (403/Dundas). A Funeral Mass on December 14th at 1:30 p.m. St. Joseph Church, Streetsville. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ian Anderson House, in memory of Gean, would be appreciated.
