RICHARD E. CAVANAGH Peacefully passed at the age of 91 on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Loving husband of Jean (predeceased) for 63 years. Survived by his sons Larry (Joan), Glen (Chantal) and Rod (Rose). Beloved grandpa to Ryan (Michelle), Lisa, Kristen, Sean, Kayla, Kristine, Candice and Cynthia. Great-grandfather to Owen and Liam. Richard was a WWII veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy, founder of R. E. Cavanagh Electric, past chairman of Scarborough Public Utilities Commission and member of the Scarborough Rotary Club and St. George's Anglican Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15th from 2 - 4 p.m. at MCDougall & Brown Funeral Home "Scarborough Chapel" 2900 Kingston Rd., 416-267-4656. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 16th at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by a reception/visitation 7:30-9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation and/or the Alzheimer Society.
