HANSON, Russell Edgar Jr. - Passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Alison Robins. Loving dad of Elizabeth Kole (Peter), Richard, Patty Pearson (Stephen), Terry and Jamie (Carol). Dear grandfather of eleven grandchildren. Survived by his sister Marie Milan and brother Norman (Joyce). Russell graduated in 1944 as a Chemical Engineer from University of Toronto and went on to a thirty-eight year career with British American and Gulf Oil. He and Alison enjoyed 31 years of square dancing, decades of camping at Sandbanks Provincial Park and extensive travel. In his retirement years he enjoyed volunteering with the Peel Literacy Guild. He received and gave much happiness as a member of the Post Inn Village community where he lived the past six years. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2473 Thornlodge Drive, Mississauga on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society. Arrangements entrusted with the Turner & Porter "Neweduk - Erin Mills" Chapel, Mississauga.
