BROWN, Stanley Heasman - Passed away at the age of 87 on Remembrance Day after a prolonged hospital stay at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga. Beloved husband of Joyce for 61 years. Loving father of Bruce and Barbara and proud "Pappa" of Tyler (Stephanie), Alaina, Kyle and Shannon. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter-in-law Patt and son-in-law Tracy. He is survived by his sisters Ena, Eunice, and Wynn and predeceased by his brothers Bob and Glen. Born and raised in Manitoba, he ventured east to the Toronto area with his new bride shortly after graduating from university and serving with the Canadian Armed Forces as Leading Aircraftsman. Retired from De Havilland Aircraft and predecessor companies including Avro aircraft, he was proud of his contribution to the launch of the best fighter aircraft ever conceived by mankind, the "Avro Arrow" and never forgave Prime Minister Diefenbaker for the cancellation of the program. An avid fisherman and hunter, he was never happier than when he was chasing after the "lunker" pickerel in Clear Lake, Manitoba, with his brothers, son and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held between Christmas and New Years when his family can be present. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Toronto or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. "So long Pappa, we love you and miss you already! "
