Father Marchand was born in Lafontaine, Ontario on December 14th, 1923. He attended St. Augustine's Seminary in Scarborough, Ontario. He was ordained in 1951. He will be fondly remembered by parishioners of Perkinsfield, Ontario and Sacré-Coeur, St-Brigid's and Our Lady of Peace in Toronto. He retired as pastor in June 1992.
