WILLIAM ARTHUR (BILL) TAYLOR Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Baycrest Hospital, on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the age of 83. Bill was born in Toronto on September 11, 1929 to Ambrose Arthur and Leila Taylor (nee Griner). Bill attended Lawrence Park Collegiate (1947) and went on to Queen's University, B.A. (1961) and then the University of Toronto to complete a Bachelors in Education (1962) and Masters in Education (1966). Retiring in 1991, Bill will be remembered as a caring and respected principal at Vradenburg, Elizabeth Simcoe and Golf Road Junior Public Schools in Toronto. Loving father to Jeffery (Julie Hart), Andrea (Bruce Balsdon), and Ian (Ellen Dickson); devoted Granddad to Liam, Evan, Ben, Olivia and Bryn. Bill's sense of humour and good advice brightened many lives. His ukulele playing will be remembered by all. We will always carry your memory in our hearts. The family will receive friends at MCEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road (Pickering Village), Ajax, ON L1T 2Z7, 905-428-8488, on Monday, December 17th, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, December 18th at 11:00 a.m. At Bill's request donations would be preferred to the Rouge Valley Oncology Department at Centenary Hospital.
