WILLIAM ALEXANDER HUGHES

January 10, 1932 - March 18, 2015

He was a proud man with a sense of humour. He married Barbara Woodward in 1954 and they enjoyed a 60 year marriage. The love of his life. He was a devoted father to Craig (Sandy) and Glenn (Susan). Proud Papa of Alexander and James. Predeceased by parents George and Anne and sister Isobel. Bill was born in Hamilton. He started his career with T. Eaton Co. Ltd. in Hamilton, Ontario. He worked his way up from a Management Trainee to a National Buyer. He was transferred to Toronto in 1964. He retired in 1990 after a career of over 40 years. He loved travelling and his job. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodges with over 60 years membership.

Member Valley Lodge A.F & A.M. No. 100, Dundas, Ontario 1953, 14th degree Murton Lodge of Perfection 1956, 18th degree Hamilton Sovereign Chapter of Rose Croix 1957, 32nd degree Moore Sovereign Consistory 1973. A private family service has taken place. Bill will be missed by his loving family and friends.

Very sad to hear of your dad's death. Have fond memories of your family on sedgebrook crescent. Will never forget your dad coming over to visit me after a skydiving injury...he brought me one of his "wings" from the war. I framed it and cherish it. Much love to your family, especially your Mum.
