YVONNE WOODS Obituary

YVONNE K. WOODS (nee RITCHIE) Aged 98, departed this earth on April 7, 2014. She is survived by her three sons Stephen (Sharon), Geoffrey (Susan) and Jonathan (Rose), by 14 grandchildren and step-grandchildren and by 13 great-grandchildren. Yvonne was born in Toronto, Canada, the granddaughter of The Honourable William McDougall, one of the Canadian Fathers of Confederation. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Classics. She was married to Charles Stacey Woods who was the General Secretary of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students. They lived in Canada, the United States and Switzerland until his death. She lived in West Deptford, NJ, for the last 10 years of her life. Yvonne was active in the work of her husband, writing articles, leading bible studies and providing support to students and missionaries from around the world. She travelled to over 20 countries as a part of her work. On Friday, July 4, 2014 there will be a memorial service at Knox Presbyterian Church 630 Spadina Road, Toronto, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please mail any gift/check to: InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, PO Box 7895, Madison, WI, 53707.
