BEBINSKI, Zbigniew (Bob) - Passed away on January 14, 2010 at Grand River Hospital on his 86th birthday. Loving husband of Margaret for 58 years. Loving father of daughter Zofia and spouse Louie and son Robert and spouse Danielle. Will be missed by his grandpuppy Zara. Survived by sister Krystyna (Warsaw, Poland). Born in Warsaw, Poland, January 14, 1924. Fought bravely with the Polish Resistance during WWII, was shot, captured and imprisoned until liberation in 1945. Believing his family in Poland had all perished, he went to the UK where he met and married Margaret Baker on September 29, 1951. Moving to Canada in 1965 'Bob' worked as a draftsman for York Steel and Dominion Bridge. During his retirement, he and his beloved wife travelled the world. His love of trees and wildlife was all too obvious in his life, so was his love for cheesecake. The family will receive friends at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 12 noon until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Cremation to follow. Interment to be held in Magnetawan. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Kidney Foundation or the Grand River Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
The Guest Book is expired.
