VICTORIA MARY SMITH Victoria Mary Smith, who the world knew as Polly, passed away peacefully in Toronto on Friday, February 7, 2014 two days after her 103rd birthday. Born in Toronto to William and Alice Adams she was the loving wife of the late Edwin Smith. She leaves a large family that loved her dearly including daughters Mary Attfield and the late Alice Crawford; sons- in-law Bob Crawford, Steve Thomas and John Attfield; grandchildren Paula Attfield and Elizabeth Attfield and their spouses Debashish Ray and Timothy Bingham; great- grandchildren Shanti Attfield Ray, Sunil Attfield Ray and Molly Bingham Attfield; nieces and nephews Ruth and Diana Stradling, Pat and John Kerr, Bud and Dorothy Cadman and all their children. She had a great life for over 102 years and was always happy to share a cup of tea or a euchre game! Special thanks to all the loving and caring friends at the St. Clair O'Connor Community where Polly lived happily for many years and the Second Mile Club and its members for longtime friendship, fun and support. Funeral service will be held at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home (Main and Danforth) February 13th at 10:30 a.m. visitation beforehand from 9:30 to 10:30. In lieu of flowers, please consider at donation to the St. Clair O'Connor Community or the Second Mile Club East Toronto branch.
