HOGAN, Mary Ann (nee Turner) - Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on February 7, 2014 at age 105. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and countless friends in Toronto, St. Brendan's (NL) and all over the world. Predeceased by husband Edward, siblings Joseph, Gregory, Thomas, Patrick, Nell, Herbert, Lloyd and Jack, dear nieces Moira and Eileen, nephews Aidan, Gerald, Brian and Edward and great-grandnephew Brendan. Mary Ann was a one-of-a-kind person, who had a zest for life and was gifted with good health and the ability to fall in love with everyone. In turn they fell in love with her. She listened with interest and love and granted importance to all. Mary Ann celebrated life everyday and in her own words, "Music and friends are the best part of life." Resting at the PAUL O'CONNOR FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Lawrence Avenue East (between Warden and Pharmacy), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, February 14th. Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 15th at 12:30 p.m. in St. Maria Goretti Church (on Kennedy, south of Eglinton). Interment at Pine Hills Cemetery. In memory of Mary Ann, an act of kindness towards somebody less fortunate would be appreciated by the family. Thank you to her many caregivers, especially Loida, Bernadette and Dr. Jane Pritchard, for their devotion and care.
