ALBERT EDWARD "AL" KAY Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on February 13, 2014 in his 85th year. Predeceased by his wife Joyce after 28 years and survived by his companion Gibby and her family for 34 years. Loving dad of Laura (Rod) and Craig (Lynne). Adored grampa of Bonnie (Erik), Jeff (Stephanie) and Nicole (Bizhan). Cherished great-grandfather of Ben. Al leaves behind sister Bessie Cooper (Les) and is predeceased by brothers Bi ll, Alfred, sisters Kathleen and Georgina. Al will be fondly remembered by many relatives and friends and Amica friends and staff. He was blessed with a sense of humour, who loved travel and music. Al was an amazing carpenter who was very good with his hands; in fact he made two beautiful almost life size scale model trains for his children. Al enjoyed relaxation at his cottage. He holds 3 patents for his engineering skill and imaginative visions of building bridges for trains. He had amazing creative capacity and freely gave his crafts to the church for auction. MARK'S UNITED CHURCH, 115 Orton Park Road, Toronto on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations would be gratefully accepted for the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
