GIUSEPPE DI IULIO March 2, 1924 - February 18, 2014 Peppino, to his large family and many friends, died peacefully just short of his 90th birthday. He was born in S. Elia a Pianisi, Campobasso in Molise and made Canada his home in 1956. He helped build Toronto one pipe, one sidewalk and one cantina at a time. To his family, neighbours and friends he will forever be the Constant Gardener. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 67 years Maria Filomena and is lovingly respected and remembered by his son Palmacchio (Maria Grazia), daughter Luisa (Denis) and grandchildren Stefania (Nick), Davide, Dante, Max, Palma and Giulia. Visitations will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W., 416-789-7661) on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd., at Hwy. 27). In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Giuseppe can be made to Villa Charities Foundation ( or a charity of your choice. A special grazie goes to the staff of the 4th floor Fidani Wing of Villa Colombo.
