WILLIAM (BILL) MARSON RUDDOCK, P.ENG. Passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 -- on the morning of his 95th birthday -- at the Glynnwood Retirement Residence in Thornhill. Born in Whitley Bay, England. Immigrated to Canada at age 9. University of Toronto Mechanical Engineering Class of 4T2. World War II veteran, Captain with the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RCEME) serving in the Holland (liberation) and Germany campaigns. Member of the Canadian Plastics Pioneers. Founded Chemline Plastics Ltd. in 1968. Charter member of the Donalda Club. Predeceased by his wives Ruth (1983) and Pamela (2012). Loving father of son Richard (Karen) and daughter Valerie (David Burke). Step-father to Gerald Cavalier (Juliet) of London, UK. Beloved grandfather of Julia, Carolyn, Geoffrey and Alyssa and step-grandfather of Justin and Christopher. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Glynnwood and to Dr. Bianca Petrut at North York General Hospital. Private service for immediate family only. Arrangements entrusted to R.S. Kane Funeral Home.
