ROSARIO BUEMI April 16, 1913 - March 1, 2014 (retired Atomic Energy of Canada) Died at home peacefully in his sleep with Assunta, his beloved wife of 69 years, at his side. He is survived by his twin brother Giuseppe in Sicily. He was predeceased by his daughter Naomi, the light of his heart. He is mourned by daughters Barbara Elliott, Roseanne Jarvis and Susan Eickmeier, his eight grandchildren Amoryn Engel, Charis Kelly, Brooke and Denis Elliott, Kathleen and Olivia Jarvis and Bianca and Chloe Eickmeier and great-grandchildren William and Harrison Schindel and Cooper and Findley Kelly. Daddy came to Canada in 1951 and was one of many Italian immigrants who came to this country, to build a new life for themselves and everyone who followed. He worked hard and helped to build a country to be proud of. He was a staunch Liberal and personally met Pierre Elliott Trudeau, whom he loved, on two occasions while working at Atomic Energy of Canada. Daddy, who was a very religious and spiritual man, is now in the realm of heaven where he finally basks in God's eternal light.
