FRATKIN, Bernard Martin (Bernie) - With saddened hearts, Gail and Randi announce the passing of their loving husband and adored father on March 7, 2014. Bernie was born in Winnipeg on March 21, 1933, the only child of Margaret and Ben Fratkin. He graduated from the University of Manitoba as a Chartered Accountant and became the managing partner of the Winnipeg office of MacGillivray & Co., before moving to Toronto to pursue other business interests. Bernie loved sports and, as a member of the 1952 and 1953 Canadian Junior Basketball champion Winnipeg Light Infantry teams, he was inducted into both the Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame and the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. He was also an avid curler and golfer and enjoyed playing cards with his many friends. Service on Monday, March 10, 2014.
