ROBERT WILLIAM LIPPETT, P. ENG. Comforted by the love and support of family and friends, Rob died of cancer at the age of 63. Rob is survived by his wife, the love of his life and best friend of 40 years Karen Denise Lippett (nee Ames) and their daughters Robyn and Kristine Ames Lippett whom he loved dearly, his brothers Miles and David, his sister Janice Horner and her husband Gary, brother- in-law Doug Ames and his wife Betty, dear family friend Brenda Surminski and 1 niece and 6 nephews. As per Rob's wishes, cremation has already taken place. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) on Saturday, March 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service and reception will be held in the Chapel on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. Rob (aka Bob) was a professional engineer. He gained his P.Eng. status as he described it "the hard way" through a combination of community college, university and home study programs. During his career he acquired unique expertise related to recycling and other solid waste diversion initiatives. This expertise enabled him to make a significant contribution to solid waste management locally, nationally and internationally, all of which complemented his passion for travel.
