BEATRICE MARIE GLYNN (nee McGIVNEY) June 12, 1925 - March 14, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bea, our mother and grandmother, at the age of 88 years. She passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital with her family at her side. Bea was predeceased by her husband Walter S. Glynn. Beloved mother of Mariann (Roger), Paul (Marcia), Joe (Jackie), Rev. Fr. Bob Glynn, Gerry (Janet), Peter (Zina). Loving grandmother of David, Mark, Renee (Justin), Damien (Melina), Timothy (deceased), Chad (Kady), Gina (Kevin), John, Julia, Adam, Jonathan, Jessica and great-grandchildren, Zack, Ryan, Ava, Lana, Tyler, Sofia, Conner and Kat. Bea's predeceased parents, Saul Andrew McGivney and Marie Louise Seifried. Survived by her sister Helen Riffel and predeceased by her siblings, Rev. Fr. Vince McGivney, Marian Chant and Audrey McGivney. Bea was a dedicated and devoted wife and a loving, caring, supportive mother who loved traveling with her children and cherished her great-grandchildren. Mom was an active founding member of the Catholic Women's League, St. Gregory's Parish, Humber Valley Region. She was a grand lady with lots of faith, attending Mass every Sunday, saying the rosary daily and always ready to help out at the Church with rummage/bake sales, fashion shows and always volunteering her kids to help. An avid expert bridge player and a joyful friend to all. Many will miss her contagious smile, her laughter and joyful disposition even when struggling with the side effects of her 2012 stroke. A special thanks to the family who cared for Mom after the stroke and Jo Ann her caregiver. Family and friends are encouraged to share their memories of our Mom at the visitation, Friday, March 21st, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas St. W., Toronto, ON M6P 2A5, 416-767-1176. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 22nd, 11:00 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 480 Rathburn Rd., Etobicoke, ON M9C 3S8, 416-621-2732. In lieu of flowers, Mom's favourite charity was the National Catholic Broadcasting Council (Daily Mass on Vision TV) which she watched every day.
