BURNSTEIN, Mark Eric - April 23, 1946 - March 3, 2014 Son of the late Raymond and Dorothy Burnstein; brother of Paula Ruffino, Lisa Burnstein and Mara Burnstein; uncle and friend to many. Alumnus of Shaw Business College, reservist in the Canadian Army, volunteered 2 years in Israel after 1967 war. Mark fell in love with computers in 1978 which shaped his career as Regional Computer Marketing Manager for Radio Shack; Partner at MBV Systems Integrators; Partner/Director of Marketing for UX Software; Vice President of Marketing/Sales for Syntronics Systems Inc.; Consultant for Rayjac Electronics; President of Rajac Canada, the family business. Mark created the first interface for Olivetti, built international clientele with a multi-million contract in SE Asia and had a major role in developing language software for payload operations used by NASA on every shuttle mission since 1984. He lobbied on behalf of the computer industry, donated time/ tech support to election campaigns and freely shared his love of classical music. Mark was selfless, a man of integrity, kindness and generosity who touched many people's lives. A celebration of Mark's life will be held Sunday, July 6, 2014 in Stouffville.
