CAROLE COOK August 16, 1947 - April 9, 2014 Following a courageous 3-year battle against pancreatic cancer, Carole passed away peacefully on April 9, 2014 at The Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto with her heartbroken husband Jim at her side. She will forever be lovingly remembered by Jim, her sons Steve (Stacey) and Taylor, her sister Nicole, her mother Jackie, Jim's daughters Jennifer (Jeff) and Jessica, grandchildren Shepard and Sloane and so many other family members and close friends. Carole was predeceased by her father Jim Carson and her first husband Andy Klimas. Carole was very proud of her Francophone heritage and had a lifelong passion for all things French including the teaching of that language at Earnscliffe School in Peel Region. Carole will be forever missed by all who knew her and so enriched her life and she theirs. A visitation will be held at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, on Sunday, April 13th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and a celebration of Carole's life will take place on Monday, April 14th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., at the Toronto Cricket Club, 141 Wilson Avenue. All who knew Carole are welcome. No funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Princess Margaret Hospital so that hopefully there will come a day when no one will ever again have to endure the suffering that Carole faced so bravely. Carole's family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to the medical personnel at The Princess Margaret Hospital for their expertise and compassion from which Carole derived such comfort during her valiant struggle.
