THE REV. CHARLES EDWARD STORTON November 1, 1915 - April 14, 2014 Died peacefully at the Veterans' Residence, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where he had received wonderful care and assistance for the past two years. Charles was predeceased by his wife Edith (Wildey) in 1994 and is survived by his children the Rev. Margaret Tandy and Murray Storton, by his grandchildren Matthew Tandy (Renee Yap), Bradley Tandy (Aoife Earls) and Evan Tandy (Paula Hart) and by his great-grandchildren Emily, Kaitlyn, Sarah and Boone. He is predeceased by his siblings Jenny, Bill, Alice and Bert (his twin) and is survived by his younger brother Gord. Charlie spent 49 years at the Department of Anatomy, University of Toronto, as a technician contributing considerable expertise to Grant's Atlas of Anatomy and developing Grant's Museum. He was always very active in the Anglican Church and was ordained deacon in 1969 serving in that capacity at St. George, Willowdale, St. Patrick, Willowdale and St. Timothy, Agincourt until the loss of vision restricted his work. He was instrumental in founding a men's conference which became FLAME and volunteered for over 30 years as a chaplain at North York General Hospital. Friends may call on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. George On Yonge, Anglican Church (5350 Yonge Street).
