BLOWERS, Maurice (Mike) - So saddened by the passing of Maurice (Mike) Blowers on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, in his 89th year. He was born in Suffolk, England, moved to Canada with his Mother, Father and brother John in 1926. Mike was a WWII Veteran and continued with the RCAF until 1967. He made a change in his life and brought his family to Aurora in 1968 where he worked with the York County Board of Education until he retired in 1986. Mike had a wonderful life travelling with his late wife (2006) Kay, attending Masonic and Shriner functions and enjoying his growing family. He is survived by his daughters Heather Marshall (Newmarket, ON) and Sandra Klassen (Fergus, ON). He was adored by his 10 great- grandchildren. Sons-in-law Andy Marshall and Bob Klassen; sisters Kathleen Eppard (Rochester, MN), Alice Wilberforce (Oakville, ON) and brother to John and his wife Irene (Winnipeg, MB). Loving grandfather to Amanda (Tim) Booth, Geoff (Kim) Croxon, Hollie (Joe) Kane and Angela Omelion from Calgary, AB. Step-grandfather to Jennifer Marshall, Nicole (Jim) Loptson and Jeff (Vilma) Marshall. Visitation will be held at the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S. Newmarket on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 79 Victoria Street, Aurora, on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southlake Regional Health Centre - Cancer Centre, Newmarket.
