MICHELINA SESSA COLACICCO 1928 - 2014 On Thursday, April 24th, Michelina left her family on earth to join her love and husband Antonio. Beloved and cherished mother of Flora (Giovanni DiVetta), Alba (Alvaro DiPlacido), Greg (Kim), John (Cathy). Devoted and Proud Grandmother and Nonna to Derrick (Voula), Michelle (Marco), Jason (Priscila), Andrea (Joe), Laura, Melanie, Anthony and Jeffrey. Great- Grandmother and "Bis-Nonna" to her special angels Julia, Isabella, Luca, Alexander, Sophia and Mateo. She will also be missed by family and friends both here in Canada and overseas - sisters Alessandra, Ersilia, Maria and Clelia; brothers Pasquale and predeceased Guido and Carlino. Sincere thank yous to the truly caring team at MacKenzie Health Hospital and her lifelong Physician, Dr. Robert Dicker - you have provided authentic and compassionate care for Michelina and made her passing dignified and peaceful. Michelina was born in Caserta, Italy and she was so happy for the many return trips to her country of birth. Arriving in Canada with small children she soon adapted and embraced new cultures and blended them in perfect harmony with her Italian traditions. The treasured memory of this most elegant lady will be rich and joyful for all her family and friends whom she touched with her hospitable nature. Michelina's grandchildren and great- grandchildren had a first class chef who catered to their love of her homemade fettucini, gnocchi, meatballs, sugo and bread. Her children wish her everlasting peace and rest and simply say thank you for being such a strong and bright guiding light for their family.
