DOUGLAS BRUCE "SLUGGO" DENSMORE 1948 - 2014 With tremendous sadness we announce the sudden and shocking loss of our Doug. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert (Dinny) and Mary (MacDonald) Densmore of West Toronto. Loving husband to Jane (Scott), devoted Dad to Noah and Katharine. Also struggling with their loss are Doug's sister and brother-in-law Karen and Richard Hookham of Ottawa. Doug was also an exceptional brother-in-law to Helen, Virginia, David (Olga) and Susan (Rick), beloved uncle to Brett, Scott, Anastasia, Jenna, Katie and Ben. He will be greatly missed by his multitude of friends, especially the "Friday Night Lads". His positive and joyful enthusiasm for life was always evident, whether he was playing volleyball, baseball or football, sitting on the beach devouring books, telling small world stories, being with his family, walking Romeo, listening to Motown or selling a great roof to yet another happy customer. Doug may be gone in body, but his unconditional love, contagious positive attitude, his unforgettable and generous spirit and gusto for life will live on in our hearts forever. Family and friends are most welcome to join us in celebrating Doug at ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST, NORWAY (ANGLICAN) CHURCH, 470 Woodbine Avenue (north of Kingston Road), on Wednesday, May 28th at 11 a.m., followed by a gathering at The Balmy Beach Club on Beech Avenue In memory of Doug, donations may be made to March of Dimes Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. Online condolences at www.sherrinfuneral.ca I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart). I am never without it (anywhere I go you go, my dear). We love you Doug.
