ADRIAN HARRY VIS September 28, 1931 - June 21, 2014 With much love and great respect, we celebrate the life of Harry Vis, who passed away peacefully in his home on June 21, 2014 at the age of 82. Harry lived his life with spirituality, integrity and humility. He devoted his life to caring for his wife Mary, who predeceased him in October 2013 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Throughout their 54-year marriage, Mary was always the centre of Harry's world. He was also an incredible role model for his six children, for whom he offered enduring love and support. He enjoyed an extraordinary 41-year career with Robin Hood Multifoods, for many years serving as President and CEO. Harry was a lifelong, devout Catholic who lived his faith through daily prayer and numerous charitable acts and donations. He will be greatly missed and forever in the hearts of his six children and their families: Meg Vis and CeAnne Giovannini of Halifax, Cathy and Steve Previdsa of Mississauga, Tom Vis and Lyse Richer of Bethesda, Maryland, Robert and Delia Vis of Mississauga, Mike Vis of Toronto, Anne Vis and Keith Johnson of Princeton. Harry was blessed with 11 beautiful grandchildren: Michael and Josh Previdsa, Xavier, Theodore and Maxime Richer Vis, Lisa and Donna Lucchetta, Alexa, Michael and Olivia Johnson and Clara Vis-Johnson. He will also be missed by his many friends, especially Elisa Cerrone. Harry's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Nurse Next Door, whose efforts enabled him to live comfortably in his home despite significant medical challenges until his passing. Family and friends will be received at GLEN OAKS MEMORIAL CHAPEL AND RECEPTION CENTRE (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville) on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, Thursday, June 26th at 2 p.m. Burial and reception to follow at Glen Oaks. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Canadian Food For Children charity. Online condolences may be left at
