GODDARD, Jack Hounsell - 1919 - 2014 Jack Goddard, in his 95th year, passed away on June 28, 2014 at Credit Valley Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margaret (nee Crossing); his three children, Linda (Eric) Lenczner, Nancy (Paul) Bunyard and Philip Goddard. He leaves four grandchildren, Sarah (Tom), Michael, Christine (Brad) and Laura; and six great-grandchildren, Amy, Jenna, Jane, Allison, Jack and Leah. Jack was the son of Alma (nee Irvine) and Garnet Goddard. He was predeceased by his brother, Irvine Goddard; and sisters, Doris Sheard and Ruth Brown. Jack lived his entire life on the family farm in Dixie, which is now part of Mississauga. Four generations of Goddards grew up on this farm. Jack started farming as a market gardener and later specialized in growing mushrooms and apples. Jack lived for his family. He enjoyed wonderful times with all of the grandchildren and great- grandchildren at the family cottage on Lake Simcoe. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW), on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 1 p.m. Interment will be at St. John's Dixie Cemetery.
