Jerry and Diane-Marie are deeply devastated by the sudden loss of our dearly loved daughter Daniella!!! The World has lost a beautiful being, full of love and joy. Someone who brought happiness to everyone that she met! Her big sister and best friend Vanessa was always there to protect Daniella from the moment she joined our family!!!! Auntie Danna was greatly loved by her nephews Christian, Nicolas, Justin, and Zachary. She was a very important person in their lives and shared a special and unique connection with each of them!
Daniella was a person who was always ready for an adventure. When you heard her deep, soulful laugh, you knew that she was in the room before you saw her. She brought sunshine and warmth into everyone's life and had so many friends! Daniella was kind, thoughtful, loyal, generous and just a joy to be with!!! She was always ready to extend herself to everyone, family and friends. Happy to listen, willing to help whenever needed. Nothing was too much to ask of her.
Daniella had a wonderful gift for working with senior citizens and volunteered at Villa Gambin for several years. She was loved by those that she worked with and went above and beyond her duties to make everyone feel happy and cared for at all times. Her special talent was first displayed when she was a little girl. Her Nonno was dealing with Parkinson's disease. He would sit in his chair and Daniella would give him her version of a manicure and set his fringe with pin curlers. Nonno would laugh quietly and be lulled into a restful sleep. Another time while having dinner with Nonna and Nonno, she gently walked him into the kitchen. This was astonishing because Nonno was afraid of falling and always was supported while walking. But there he stood chuckling softly, while Nonna and I quickly guided him to a chair. Daniella gave him the confidence that he needed to take that short walk! Nothing short of amazing!!!!
Daniella is also survived by her Auntie Cathie, Uncle Rudy, cousins Matthew (Sandra), Mark (Jennifer), Christopher (Tamara), Michael (Julia) and Jennifer and many other favourite aunts and uncles and too many friends to count!!!!
Missing her too are her four legged companions -- her rescue dog Rosie and her cats Pepper, Shadow, Shanti, Socks and Licorice.
We have lost her bright light, but if you check out the night sky, you will see the brightest and most beautiful star that ever existed. That's Daniella! Still sharing her brilliance and her love to lift our hearts and our spirits.
Please do not send flowers, but make a contribution to your favourite charity to honour her. Because Daniella was a bright and joyful person, please wear happy colours when you come to celebrate her. Remember Daniella as the unique and amazing being that she is and was!!!!!
Thank you to Dr. Sheldon Katz for going the extra mile for Daniella. Our deep gratitude to Dr. Di Stephano and Mary for their extraordinary medical assistance and to all of the people who took such great care of our daughter at Collingwood Hospital.
