STANLEY ZURAVINSKI Peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, Stanley Edward Victor Joseph Zuravinski in his 90th year. Life companion and beloved husband of Anne (Sorokach) for over 65 years. Loving father of Gloria Warren (Mike) and Vivian Gibson (Bob). Proud grandfather of Jonathan Warren and Andrew and David Gibson. Also survived by his sister-in-law Kathy Soro as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents William and Ida Zuravinski, his in-laws Mike and Anne Sorokach, sister and brother- in-law Doris and Stan Kalembasa, brother-in-law Mike Soro and step-granddaughter Carol Warren. During WWII he served with the RCAF in England. Dad loved fishing, tennis, the stock market and all animals, in particular his Field Spaniel "Rusty", his parakeet "Tammy" and his lovebird "Solo". He took great pleasure in hand feeding the squirrels and chipmunks in his backyard who would knock on his door for peanuts at feeding time. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London, on Friday, July 11th from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service which will be held in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. The family expresses their deep appreciation to the medical staff of the 6th floor Palliative Care unit for their kindness and supportive care. Special thanks to Henry Thuss for being such a good friend to Dad for so many years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the or the Heart & Stroke Foundation appreciated.
