GRIGNON, Philippe - January 20, 1920 - July 6, 2014 Passed away peacefully at Cedarvale Lodge in Keswick, surrounded by family and caring Lodge staff on Sunday, July 6th. Cherished husband of the late Barbara (nee Tomlinson), dear father of Paul (Tsiporah) Grignon of Gabriola, BC and Margaret (Kevin) Squires of Keswick, ON. Loving grandfather of Dan (Elson), Tobias and Niki (Grignon) and Shira (Tim) McDermott, all of Vancouver and Katherine (Stuart) Sutherland (Keswick), Jennifer, Laura and Stephanie Squires (Toronto). Sadly missed by his great-grandchildren, Nikola and Hanna (McDermott), Gabriel and Jude (Grignon), all of Vancouver and Zoe (Sutherland) of Keswick. Born in Ste. Agathe, QC and predeceased by his two brothers, Lawrence and Wilfred, all WWII Veterans, he served Canada from 1941-1945, retiring as an RCAF Flight Lieutenant. Returning to Canada with his beautiful British bride, Barbara, he settled in North York to raise a family. He retired from a forty year career at Drug Trading covering accounting, purchasing, merchandising and market research. Proud recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) National for his more than 20 years of volunteer service. An avid golfer and genealogist, he shared many memorable moments with friends and relatives all over North America, England and France. A private service will be held.
